Help us to keep saving Jacks at risk… please consider a donation to JRTRO

Recently, the Rescue in our name has certainly been appropriate for JRTRO. It seems JRTRO is being called on more frequently to provide a safe refuge for Jacks in desperate need of help out of abusive and dire situations, even the threat of death. JRTRO recently welcomed sweet senior Bethany Lyn into our care. Bethany Lyn was a stray who was in danger of spending her last days at a shelter. The staff there were so enamoured of her they asked JRTRO if we could help. We could not refuse this request. Loving long time foster parents are providing her with the joys of home cooking, a warm bed and companionship so whatever time she has left will be spent knowing she is truly safe. Sweet Theodore is approximately 12 years old. He was at a shelter with no hope of adoption due to severe dental issues. The shelter could not cover these bills and would not consider him as a candidate for adoption if his dental issues were not resolved. Again JRTRO was asked for help and stepped up to provide dental care so Theo can find a forever home where he will be loved and cherished. 7 year old Damien and 5 month old baby Roxie were pulled out of a crisis situation and needed immediate rescue. Again our volunteers sprang to action and picked them up that night to make sure they came to no harm. The next day they were transported to foster homes. Neither has ever seen a vet, so again JRTRO will provide the dollars needed to make sure they are vetted and healthy while we look for their forever families.
And we will never forget dear Will and Kate, the devoted couple who had spent their entire lives outside in a shed – whose owner considered them merely a hobby. Will and Kate have ongoing medical concerns due to years of neglect but are now in the embrace of a loving couple who are willing to work through their medical issues. Providing a lifeline for these Jacks who truly need help is what makes rescue work so worthwhile but it is also expensive. JRTRO gets no funding other than our adoption fees and the generosity of our donors. If you can, please donate. Either a one time donation or a monthly contribution would be so much appreciated. For tax receipts, donations can be made through Helping Homeless Pets. You will need to designate JRTRO as the recipient of the funds.
