About Us

Jack Russell Terrier Rescue Ontario (JRTRO) is a non-profit referral organization dedicated to fostering, finding and placing Jack Russell Terriers (or “almost Jacks” aka Jack mixes) in new homes. These are Jack Russell Terriers that have either been abandoned, mistreated, abused or owner relinquished.

It is our mission to provide ongoing educational activities for the public about the Jack Russell Terrier, it’s temperament, characteristics and handling.

All Jack Russell Terriers are spayed or neutered, as required, prior to being placed in new homes. They are fostered throughout Southern Ontario by volunteers who open their homes until a permanent one can be found.
